Gujarat Sets Up 2200 Beds Coronavirus Hospital In Just 6 Days

The figure of people infected with Coronavirus in India has reached 799 and so far 19 people have died. At the same time, the number of infected patients in the state of Gujarat has reached 47 and three have died. Gujarat has set up 2200 bed hospitals in just 6 days to deal with the corona virus. Gujarat has broken China’s record by doing so.

China built a 1000-bed hospital in 10 days. At the same time, in just 6 days, Gujarat has set up a total of 2200 bed hospitals in 4 cities. On March 21, the Gujarat government had announced to set up the hospital.

The Gujarat government has built a hospital with facilities for 1200 beds in Ahmedabad, 500 beds in Surat, 250 beds in Vadodara and 250 beds in Rajkot. These hospitals are designed according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Central Health Department. Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Department Pankaj Kumar has been given the responsibility of operating the hospital.
